Strong Symptoms is a 2 hour long self-defense workshop that focuses on building personal strength and resilience through different martial arts techniques, self reflection, group bonding and bystander training. The workshop will allow you to play and release negative energy, improve personal emotional awareness and feel held by a community.
This workshop acknowledges symptoms of structural oppression. We will explore the way that mental health, personal relationships and the physical body are impacted by systematic marginalization. Within this workshop participants will learn fighting techniques, exhaust their body through bodyweight workouts, dance, and write personal reflections.
